A prominent affiliate marketing company in the online sports wagering sector, Catena Media, has targeted Vermont for expansion. With the Green Mountain State recently legalizing sports betting, Catena Media was prepared. They swiftly established collaborations with two of the three authorized providers – DraftKings and FanDuel – who commenced operations on January 11th.
To commemorate this debut, Catena Media has introduced Vermont-focused material across its US platforms, joining forces with media giants like NJ.com and The Sporting News. Their objective? To deliver extensive reporting and assistance as Vermont plunges into the realm of online sports wagering.
Vermont, boasting a population just under 500,000 adults, was the final New England state to authorize online sports betting. It represents the first fresh market to emerge in North America in 2024, with North Carolina anticipated to follow.
“Considerable enthusiasm surrounds Vermont – emanating from both the industry and those who place sports bets,” remarks Ryan Harper, VP for North America at Catena Media. “Vermonters possess familiarity with online gambling through daily fantasy sports and horse racing, so their entry into this arena is not entirely unfamiliar.”
This venture into Vermont signifies another triumph for Catena Media, augmenting their North American footprint to encompass a total of 28 states and provinces throughout the US and Canada.
As 2023 concluded, Catena Media completed the divestiture of its Italian holdings. This transaction, assessed at €19.8 million, enables the firm to hone its concentration on the more tightly controlled markets situated in the Americas. A public declaration of this calculated action followed.
